Your details How MuseHaus Design handles what you give us when you ask for a Patient-Ready Score.
We ask for four things and one choice, we use them to send you what you asked for, and you can change your mind or have them removed at any time.
Who we are
MuseHaus Design builds websites for health practices. MuseHaus Design is a trading name of Align and Amplify LLC, 447 Broadway, 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10013, United States, which is the data controller for what you give us here. You can reach us at hello@musehausdesign.com or at that address.
What we collect
- The address of your practice website.
- Your first name.
- Your email address.
- Your answer to one question: who looks after your website now.
When you enter your website address we look it up, once, to make sure it is spelled correctly. We read the public title of the page and nothing else. We also check that the part of your email address after the @ can receive mail. Only that part is checked, never your full address, and the check is made through a public DNS service.
This page sets no cookies and carries no advertising or tracking code.
What we do with it, and on what basis
- Your Patient-Ready Score. We measure your public website with tools anyone can use, and email you the result. We do this because you asked us to: in the words of the law, it is a step taken at your request before any contract, and it is in our legitimate interest to run the service you asked for.
- One link, and nothing else unless you ask. The email that carries your score has one line asking whether you would like a Second Opinion: a written, closer look at your website by us. If you click it, we write to you about that and may invite you to a call. If you do not, we send you nothing more. Anything we send after you click is because you asked for it, and every email carries an unsubscribe link.
- If you reply or ask for a call, we use your details to answer you.
We do not sell your details, share them for anyone else's marketing, or add you to any other list. Nobody makes automated decisions about you with them.
Who helps us
Three services handle your details on our behalf, only to do the jobs above, and under contracts that bind them to our instructions:
- ActiveCampaign, which stores the list and sends our emails. Its servers are in the United States.
- Google Workspace, which runs our own mailbox.
- Netlify, which serves this website and runs the spelling check on your address.
Where it is held
We are a United States company, so your details are held in the United States, by us and by ActiveCampaign. If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union, that is a transfer of your data outside your country. It rests on your request for the score, and on anything you ask us for after it, and it is covered by the contractual safeguards UK and EU law require of the services we use.
How long we keep it
While you stay on the list, we keep your details. If you unsubscribe, or if two years pass without you opening or replying to anything from us, we delete them, keeping only the minimum needed to make sure we never write to you again. If you become a client, your details are kept for as long as we work together and for the period the tax rules require after that.
Your choices and rights
Every email we send has a link that unsubscribes you in one click. You can also write to hello@musehausdesign.com at any time to see what we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, or object to our using it, and we will do it within a month.
If you are in the United Kingdom and are unhappy with how we have handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. If you are in the European Union, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country. We would rather you told us first, so we can put it right.
